You and your Chinese friend are approaching Shanghai Hongqiao near the end of a high-speed rail journey. The carriage display recently showed Kunshan South, but you are unsure how many stops remain. Open the station list from the ticket details in the Railway 12306 app, check the scheduled arrival time and delay status, then listen for the final-stop announcement. Put away small personal items now, but leave the suitcase in place until the train has come to a complete stop.
Real-life note
Carriage displays can rotate through the next stop, speed, temperature and service messages, so one screen alone may not show the complete route at every moment. Use the station list and scheduled arrival time in the ticket details together with the onboard announcement. A missing delay notice means no delay is currently shown, not a guarantee that the schedule cannot change. Keep small belongings together before arrival, and handle luggage only after the train has stopped completely.

Why
When you are already on the train, 到 focuses on reaching the destination. 火车 and 列车 are both valid here, and 按时 and 准时 can both express being on time.
2. Use 下来 for overhead luggage

Why
下来 describes bringing an object from above toward yourself. 下去 suggests moving it downward and away.
3. Wait for a complete stop
Not natural
列车快停了，现在拿行李吧。

等列车停稳以后再拿。
Why
快停了 means the train is still moving. 停稳 means it has reached a complete, stable stop before the suitcase is handled.
